They had trouble selling tickets in Montreal for UFC 186. GSP not being there is obviously a big deal, but I think Montreal is starting to remember that all it cares about is hockey.

Maybe this Mayweather-Pacquiao bout will trigger a resurgence in boxing.

No, I'm kidding.

I think I heard there was a heavyweight title fight recently. Or maybe it's coming up shortly.

Or something.

Yeah, Wladimir Klitschko fought at MSG last Saturday. Had no idea.

Heard on the radio that a pair of ringside seats for Pacman/Mayweather sell for . . . . wait for it . . . .

$360,000

I guess it's academic as most of them end up being comped to the whaliest whales of the casinos. Only something like 500 of the 16,000 seats were sold to the public.

But anyway, that's what I heard.

And let me just go on record right now as predicting there will be a rematch.

You can get them for $500 a pop from this guy. Just wants you to load a prepaid card and give him the code.

The most entertaining part will be all the assholes who make the trip to Vegas not realizing the fight isn't shown anywhere outside of MGM property ballrooms and scattered small venues for $500+ per ticket. They are spending $500 a night at some dump hotel thinking they can watch it in the room or downstairs.

I hadn't actually looked at a betting line until now. At Pinnacle (where boxing is listed under "Other Sports") it's

Mayweather -210
Pacquiao +188

Not that I know anything, but I woulda thought it would be more lopsided.

I'm glad Muddy is getting the Pac/Mayweather fever!

I am at the point where I would actually watch it. If it was in front of me for free. That is progress from when this thread started.

Apparently 80% of the bets coming in have been on Pacman. The line opened something like -280 and has dropped to its current condition of ~2 bucks.

So I hear.

I hate the fact that I'm probably going to buy the PPV at this point. Ima be stuck babysitting anyway.

Scared to look at the price.

LOL, it's a hunnerd bucks. Never mind, I ain't paying that.

plenty of streams around pal :)

That's usually what I do, but sometimes I like the peace of mind of a stable, legally-bought PPV.

Not for 100 bucks though. I would've considered it at 70-75.

My bar was quoted $2200 for the rights. Thai isn't happening.

I still have two days to make friends.

No but seriously, just get a group of 4 or 5 boxing fans together at your place with the understanding that you'll provide some nosh foods and everyone will split the cost of the PPV and -----------------> expensive PPV issue solved.

It's the biggest fight of the decade.

Common one time.
