Agree Quebec City needs a team.
On further reflection, I don't need any college teams. A little sports fandom might be interesting for some additional flavor in life but no sense overdoing it. I don't think I have it in me to think about that much sports if I tried.
I may even pass on an NHL team. Not sure I could whip up enough of a frenzy to follow a whole fokking NHL playoff run. I can't watch the game and that shit goes on forever.
So what I've got is definitely the Blue Jays and Raptors.
And I should definitely have an NFL team. I actually look at the NFL. The playoffs are very tidy and managable. That's what I need to work out - an NFL team. Dallas though? Yikes. But it's the only thing that makes sense. The history of irrational fandom is already in place. Anything else would be ridiculously contrived.
But yikes.
PlomSame thing is going to happen to a team in Hamilton or Markham.
And there's more Yankees fans at Rays and most other games, so what..?
Don't see myself being a fan of one of those ultra mainstream teams.
To my friends from the north, are Canadians passionate about Kitchener Rangers or the Barrie Colts.
Is it just a local thing, like college football in the states.
Since my town doesn't have a hockey team I would become another team's fan for the right price. Make me an offer I can't refuse.
