Wow. I dunno. But I probably was pretty old. I even got sent out of the room some when Love Boat was on. A scene would come on that apparently made my parents uncomfortable with me in the room. One of them would say "I don't think this is a children's show" and I would get sent off to bed. Hence, saw very few epsisodes of Fantasy Island either. Sheltered.

PG-13 came out in mid 80's with Red Dawn.

R movies have been out since the 70's
