This just happened to me. Fucking hotel calls me and tells me im shit outta luck. nothing else in new orleans this weekend either:pballs::pballs::pballs::pballs:
 
What was there reasoning? I have heard it is fairly common for a hotel to overbook, but I have never known anyone to have it happen to them.
 
They figure on cancellations, so they over book.
 
overbooked. shit is crazy in new orleans this weekend. mardi gras, saints, nixon's birthday, etc.

When we did mini bash in miami, they canceled our rooms when we got there. No calll. And put us up in a dump instead. Muther fuckers.
 
When we went to NO a few weeks back, they screwed our reservation up and the hotel was "booked" when we got there. But the manager had to pull strings and gave us a suite.
 
really pissed off about this. was looking forward to nola this weekend for obvious reasons.

no sister that i know of. everything in the whole county is all booked up anyway.

Fisch, I used to work in the hotel industry, rooms are still available, they keep some for the last minute, able to get higher rate. If you bitch enough, something might happened.
 
That really sucks. I would be beside myself.
 
new plan:
mobile saturday (and possibly tomorrow)
new orleans sunday/sunday night (new hotel already booked)
return monday

NOLA can easily become a disaster if you do not watch yourself
