The Pocket Rocket Henri Richard (11 Stanley Cups)

He had bad dementia as of a few years ago - it was said that he had zero memories of his hockey career. 😥 Old age sucks.

He was part of those teams from my prime hockey fandom. Loved the Pocket Rocket.

RIP.

Do not look up highlights from his era. They look ridiculously slow and clumsy compared to today's game.

Henri was 3 inches shorter (and 15 years younger) than Maurice.

Guy Lafleur played with Henri for the first 4 seasons of his career. That's wild.

Whole lotta legends in that pic. Pocket Rocket, Lafleur, my man Yvan Cournoyer. Jacques Lemaire, a Mahovlich or two, Steve Shutt.

Scott Bowman of course.

Hey anyone feel like having Larry Robinson, Serge Savard, Guy Lapointe and Jacques Laperriere for your first two defense pairings? Does that work for anyone?

Jean frikkin' Beliveau sitting there.

Long before Denis, the Savardian Spin-o-rama was originated by he himself.
