Oksie what would you do when you get canned because you know it's going to come sooner than later? Do you have another job on the side or is moderating SBR your only job?

Yes Pavy I have another job. I lose money every month I work at SBR because I have to pay for a nanny but I have fun for the most part and I really like the people I work with/for. If I were to be sacked, I think I'll be ok. :)

My favorite Lou moment is still when he and Bill had a month-long head-to-head weight loss challenge for like $50 or $100 each.

Lou actually gave up fast food for the month and took it seriously. Was down about 15-20 pounds. Bill had given up about four days into the thing so he was right where he'd started.

The day before weigh in (paraphrasing):

Bill: Hey Lou, this weight loss thing is stupid isn't it?
Lou: Huh?
Bill: I mean, at the end of the day, who really cares who lost more weight?
Lou: Um, yeah...
Bill: So what's say we just call the bet off?
Lou: Ya, okay...

Sad that he'd wasted a month eating healthy for nothing, Lou headed to Whataburger for lunch.

Hi Dave!

mmmmm whataburger good times.

best regards,

shannon

Hey Mr. D! Miss you sir. Hope you are well.

Still for the life of me can't figure out how we split on our weight loss challenge for total pounds dropped. You dropping 25+ pounds in a month with a starting point of, oh, 170 pounds or so less than me was pretty fucking impressive.

Wait till you meet john.

I don't think John's a bad guy honestly. Is he a hypocrite from time to time? Does he look out for his own self-interest? Yeah. But don't most of us?

I was just banned for being the ghost of Archie. They dont miss anything.

Sorry Man,

I self banned myself I few weeks ago.

How's your health Musey?

He would never have any success in a legitimate business.

Makes u wonder what oxsana did to get her job, they laid off 2 decent mods for her

What's the definition of a non-decent mod? Any examples?

There aren't really any secrets to tell. As everyone knows, SBR is an affiliate site masquerading as a player advocate site. They've done some good work to help players get paid but mostly their business is to get a cut of losses from degenerate gamblers. That's why they've promoted turning the forums into the playground they are today rather than a place for genuine discourse.

Crazylou believes the same as SBRjohn in that all winning gamblers are cheats. They see that they themselves are unable to win at gambling thus believe it impossible. John owns one the biggest gambling forums on the internet but doesn't understand the most basic of concepts related to sportsbetting. He sure does know how to extort sportsbooks though. For those reasons they don't seem to care when one of their sponsor books is massively slow paying over $300,000.
Justin, who would receive an F in a basic statistics class, runs their analytical sub-forum and hands out infractions when people correct his horribly implemented models. He once created a MLB model and decided to use YTD stats after 20 games.

What would you do different if you were John, D?

Isn't all about the benjamins or would you take a pay cut to help the professionals get their money quicker?

I wouldn't run his business.

Those options are not mutually exclusive, BOL takes equally long to pay all players. They lose creditably amongst recreational gamblers when their advertisers take 3 months to make a payout. The ratings don't mean shit to me. I have more money in D- rated books than crazylou will make in his entire life.

John tried like a dozen other online sites. gambling was the one that was promising initially being an advocate for the players was promising at first and got him to focus on a gambling forum. But things have changed quite a bit in the last 8 years as far as the online gambling community. John has adapted well.

Some people will sacrifice evrything to get their dream job Ray regardless of monetary rewards. Where else can you get paid for having control on who to ban and who to not ban from a website? You are the judge and the executioner too!

Justin says he gets databases from people in exchange for giving MF infractions. Anything is possible.

It's true they have adapted well, all the other affiliate forums are done for as far as being viable businesses. But running an illegal sportsbook with points isn't going to have any longevity either.
