I have thought of starting your own car service. I know a guy who bought an suv and does airport trips, bar trips for wealthy tourist. Started small and grew through world of mouth. Some small start coat with llc m, car payment and insurance. But those are all expenses that can be written off. Then you set the price and determine the value of your time

I’m sure this is a money grab by the insurance companies, rates have soared in Michigan for. Commercial insurance.

Yeah. I might try calling some black car services and see if you can get weekend airport only gigs or some shit with your current whip (assuming it's "nice enough").

Or just get a website and a phone number and do your own similar thing.
 
I’ve never done Uber, but I have Dashed.

Great side gig, IMO. @Vegas Dave is very correct in regards to picking and choosing your times and deliveries. You can easily make a couple hundred bucks in a short period of time .. You also get to know the business owners and employees and many will toss you some free food and the like ..

Check it out and go for it, nothing to lose .. Several posters here have great experiences and information ..
 
Some random thoughts without really knowing much about this business or using these apps

- If I was going to target the luxury market I would go for the real luxury cars, and not the other semi luxury, so Escalade or Infiniti

- people will screw you with reviews, lie, say that you were drunk etc to get free ride vouchers

- rich people are not great tippers

- I would think that luxury rides would be few and far between, just a few airport rides and one party night won't be enough to get your roi

it doesn't look so appealing honestly, if uber can screw you any time because of any bs without any recourse besides talking to a chatbot, I would just use them to build a private client list and when your list is big enough just do your thing, basically like when starting a new escorts biz

- and definitely everything under a llc

Don't look into the Amazon thing Tronner. I went deep on it and it sucks for many reasons that would disqualify it. For example, no part time must work 4x 10hr days in almost every market.

Thanks for the heads up. Ya, that’s an auto disqualifier. I was also thinking you l’d have to load your own truck/van everyday, too?
 
Hypothetical situation, say you're driving your Escalade at 3am on a Saturday night and you get an order for a party of 4 at a Waffle House near I-95. As you pull up on the parking lot you notice 4 rappers waiting outside. Do you A. Make the pickup or B. Keep driving?
