Boys, I don’t if you realize how mainstream whiskeys becoming.

-Great Smokey is #1 visited National national park

-Gatlinburg is main town there. The main touristy attraction was sampling moonshine at the store by the Ripleys believe it or not and other stupid shit

-5 .5oz samples of gross flavored moonshine was $7 and there were hoards lining up for it

Whiskey's been mainstream for quite a while. Gen X and Millenials are hugh whiskey drinkers.

Yeah so overhyped now. These pricks want $90 for colonel Taylor now.

Underwhelmed by this one I bought today, boys.

Interesting. Most people like it, and I was looking forward to try. Maybe I’ll wait now.

Currently enjoying Wild Turkey Rare breed.

You tried it, tron?

Just noticed the Woodford is 90 proof.

Think I mainly want to stick to over 100 at this point.

still consider it one of the very best 129.6 proof. $65 I paid

Barrel Proof right?

Yeah there was a bunch of that around 6 months ago, then it all disappeared.

Delicious stuff. I was impressed.

Yeah. I don't see it that often. Other one I never see anymore is 4roses barrel proof

I got a 4RBP in my cellar.

looking forward to cracking that one.

I can get those aftermarket locally anytime

Went big last night with a customer who's become a buddy. I hurt this morning. Guy drank an entire Glenfiddich 12 in 8 hours while I had maybe 8oz total from my 5 bottles:

11yo Laphroaig 1998 finished in Petrus casks
Ardbeg Uigeadail
Lagavulin Distillers Edition
Dslmore Cigar Malt Reserve
Laphroaig PX Cask

The Double Oaked Woodford Reserve is so unremarkable that we went out and bought this. I don’t know if it’s just a new label (we’ve bought this before with the original label 5 or 6 times) or if it has different ingredients

:dunno:

But the label is definitely different. Tastes the same as far as I can tell.

This is made at the distillery I happened to stumble upon in Gardiner, NY almost a year ago.

ah yes I saw that. That's that baby(?) bottle one you like right?
Was wondering why they would change it to an uglier label :dunno:
