If you are a defensive player, you have to know that you do not want to intercept a long pass on 4th down. You want to knock the ball down. Then your team gets the ball on downs way the fuck back up there.

Why don't professional athletes learn the basic rules of the game they are playing?
 
Don't you know how many fantasy points an interception is worth?

Winning the game is a nice afterthought if everything else falls into place.

I am totally out of touch with network TV. I watched quite a bit of the football and it was one commercial after another for shit I never heard of.

Have Marvel and DC Comics taken over the networks? Seems like every show is them.
