Matty is a pretty funny/intelligent dude who at different times in his life get hyper focused on all kinds of different hobbies.

I would watch a Matty Rain Podcast about guitars, bikes, social commentary, Rubix Cube, bitches, shitty bosses and degenerate friends.

his rubix hobby might be end of civilization though.

I'm seeing lots of #opentowork type posts from ex coworkers on LinkedIn right now. Job market doesn't seem too good.

One of my favorite petty things to do is to like these I'm-newly-unemployed posts made by people I hate(d).

It's a bit mean, innit.

Some of the new bikes have arrived at the warehouse, finally. I should be getting 5 new demos next week. That's a big relief.

The most high-profile bike is still nowhere in sight though. My boss's boss (the owner) is fokkin' livid. He wired 7 digits to the manufacturer and we were originally supposed to get the bikes in April. I'm starting to believe that they'll never come.

Damn, your boss's boss has a local rep there or it's some FOB type shipping order?

FOB

It's a hot new product that hasn't launched in North America yet. I suspect that the manufacturer is stalling because of the uncertainty around Trump/tariffs. They probably want to launch in the US in Canada all at once.

That’s a hefty mark up!
We're the distributor. My boss actually keeps a smaller margin than most because he's just getting started. His gross margin is 25% on the aforementioned bike. The dealer gets 35% if they manage to sell at full retail.

My boss's net margins are tiny. He's not getting rich off of selling bikes. No one is. It's a dumb industry to be in, especially in Canada.
