I love the Heritage Blue Land Cruiser.

They only make 2 models of the new Land Cruiser. The only reason to get the base model is the retro headlights.

I’ve heard A LOT of good things about the new Land Cruiser and am considering buying one.

There is a small part of me that wishes they still had the V8 (for power and reliability) but the new LC is way better on gas and much cheaper. I believe you can get the upgraded model for like $63K

The price is nice. The square who bought it new took the hit for you.

If you’re ok with:

-no 3rd row (I’m ok with it, too)

-cloth seats (I’m not ok with it)

-black interior/exterior (another thing that doesn’t work for me)

Go for it.

Keep in mind that the 1958 is very bare bones. For some folks that’s perfect. As I said, I like the headlights on the 1958 way better than the more expensive model by my impression for Car and Driver is that I’ll gravitate toward the upgraded model.

It’s funny you mentioned the LC today because it’s really been on my radar lately. The 4 wheel drive options on both models are really practical.

Also, the exteriors of the LC and the Lexus GX550 are very similar from what I’ve seen of them out on the highway.

Carmax’s administration fee is some serious horse shit, though. $800? Fok.

I test drove one and the 4cycle def felt weak compared to my current twin turbo v6 on tundra.

Will likely test drive a brand new 911 soon. Not for my broke-ass self of course - an old neighbour of mine is shopping for a sports car to fill up his new 3-car garage (he currently has a Q8 e-tron and an electric Macan 4S) and he invited me to join the test drive. I'm excited to drive a "real" modern Porsche, I've only ever driven his electric Macan.

Neat in theory... but sooooo many points of failure. I dont know if im ever buying another car that doesnt have a mechanical door latch (VW has an electric button and its fucking awful).

I made the purch!

Digging it so far. Fun to drive.

Realize how clunky the Tundra was now.

I might go back to a truck in a few years, but who knows.

I have no issue with swapping used cars every 2-3 years or so.
