I guess Kavinsky was part of the closing ceremony this year. He's one of the founding pioneers of the genre I write music for/press vinyl for.

I wasn't that impressed with it, but his influence on the genre cannot be discounted.

In place of a video of the Olympic ceremony I'll add my favorite Kavinsky song. This was in the movie "Drive" which was released with a lot of influence by Ryan Gosling, who said I've been listening to this "Synthwave" music, and want it in the soundtrack.

Anyway, thanks Ryan.

Does he have nothing else good besides Nightcall? I bought Nighcall on iTunes a few years ago but wasn't impressed with anything else he did.
 
I think I'll use this thread to post all the videos I've had made. And I'll post something specific either about the song or video or both. I don't have any allusions about being a musician full time or any of that. Just had a great time creating music and as well enjoy the creative process that comes from the video.
 
I'm not going to do them in order.

Just here and there when I feel like talking about it.

This song "The Stranger" is from my 2nd album ARIA. It's a super offensive video and absolutely fits the mood I had writing this song. I'm sure my parents have seen it and I'm sure they are disappointed in me. Anyway, it starts off slow, but builds. The mid way point to the end is especially good.

I think David Lynch fans might dig the video. I like the super sexual and misogynistic qualities to it, despite that not being my intention. I generally give the people who make these free reign creatively.
