Kato, is it recommended for everybody?

Thought I heard something about losing beneficial bacteria…or something..?

they changed it from 50 years old to 45 years old recently (for the recommended 1st colonoscopy)

The prep day is the toughest part of it. Don’t plan ANYTHING on your prep day. I tried scoring a youth baseball game on my prep day for my first and only (so far) colonoscopy :redx: :redx:

Just because you’re so hungry from the fasting ?

I’ve had knee pain last month or so.

Caused by playing excessive pickleball.

Just got a knee injection yesterday.

Has anyone else gotten that?

Many times

Been playing racquet sports most my life, hurt my knee badly once playing badminton. Finally bought an expensive pair of dedicated court shoes, never had any problem since. If you’re wearing runners or athletic shoes they don’t offer enough support for all the twisting and turning you do playing tennis and especially badminton,I learnt the hard way.

What kind of shot did you get? Cortisone or the gel?

Good question.

I should prolly call and ask tomorrow. It looked like 2 vials combined and one was numbing agent. Painful.

Have to decide if I’m going to keep my MRI appt on Wednesday or cancel.

Would I be insane to drop my $40 per month LA Fitness membership and $60 per month yoga expense and join Equinox gym?

-Equinox is a very nice gym that has unlimited yoga classes, a sauna and is a 4 minute drive from where I live. It’s very clean (when compared to the local LA Fitness).

-the close LA Fitness is rundown and desperately needs a refresh. 90% of the membership is battling to use the same 30% of the equipment

-Equinox will wave the $300 initiation fee if I show proof of an active LA Fitness membership.

-Equinox is $211 per month

-I know myself……if I really like my gym, I will go religiously 4-5 times per week.

I do some work for advertising companies that do work for gyms and the straight dope is that 99% of what they're selling is a brand. The core product is the same but they need you to believe each one is different.

That said, assuming everything you stated is true and worth $111/mo you should go for it. For me the cleanliness is not a problem but time. Time is money - especially since you're super old. If it's closer and you have more instant access to the equipment, I say get after it.
