Just got back from my Dr. Been waiting a month to hear back and get results of the cancer concern.

My latest bloodwork results showed good numbers ("tremendous" in Trumpspeak).
Stool sample was NEGATIVE for blood - ( this would have been a "DISASTER" if positive - more Trumspeak)
PSA Test for Prostate Cancer, NEGATIVE!
Ultrasound and chest x-ray, NEGATIVE for cancer.
Blood tests on LIVER show normal liver.

So overall I've done a TREMENDOUS job thwarting the enemy of CANCER!

My only health issue now is I'm FAT. The TREMENDOUS thing about FATNESS is that there is a CURE!
Been doing Keto since Oct1 and I'm down 25 lbs since. Can feel it when I get up and when I walk or bend to tie shoes etc.

I'm cancer free boys!

Caspy, since losing a little weight my dick appears to be larger. My problem is that while I can see this I can't find anyone else here in town that wants to see it. So my girlfiends will be limited to the millions of hotties on pornhub, for now.

I walked yesterday, approximately 2.5 miles to the grocery store. Couldn't walk home because I had too many bags of groceries to carry so I took a cab.

Keto has been the easiest "diet" I've ever tried. Lots of meat, fish, poultry and green veggies. No processed food, just whole foods.

Also discovered that with coffee you get what you pay for. I usually buy whats on sale but this week tried an expensive coffee and was blown away at how much better it tastes compared to Maxwell House or that other crap.

Congrats on being cancer free!!!

Make your goal healthier living as opposed to weight loss. Study after study shows that longterm weight loss is nearly impossible. The vast majority of folks that lose weight put it all back on and then some.

If you feel healthier on keto, do keto. But don't freak out when your body starts fighting back and trying to get back to it's genetic set weight.

Your leaning towards fresh non-processed foods is awesome, keep that up! And exercise, even if it is just walking. When you eventually hit a weight loss plateau, don't get discouraged or more extreme, just try to keep living as healthy as you can. Lots of unhealthy skinny people out there and lots of healthy fatties. Health is more important than weight.

Keep up the great new habits!

I hear ya Dave. Not my first rodeo, been in the battle for a while now. Initially I was against Keto, but saw my brother lose 70 lbs in 5 months on it and reconsidered. I prefer plant based for health and will incorporate more veggies once I've lost some more weight. For me Keto is a kickstart, just to get me going.
I'm off all meds except one bloodthinner (Xarelto) the anti-depressants keep my brain in a fog and I find it difficult to get motivated while on them.
When I'm feeling good I walk a lot more. I can actually enjoy walking when I have headphones on and can listen to good music while doing so.
I can also walk in cold temps no problem. Below freezing no problem as long as the sidewalks are clear of snow. Plus winters here are much milder than most of the rest of the northern US and Canada.

Thanks for the reply!!

For once, I’m happy to be in the minority lol

Have you kept it off long-term? The studies show that people can have plenty of success losing weight over a 9-12 month period but 90-95% of them gain it back within 2-5 years.

If you've gone 5+ years with sustained weight loss, cheers!! Definitely rare.

I went from 264 to 194 3 years ago. The highest I have been since was 218. I hover around 204 now regularly. At 6ft 4, I feel that’s a good weight with muscle. Especially at 45

VD, I know the stats are disheartening. I think maybe married people are more apt to put the weight back on.

it’s like athletes after they leave the game

It has nothing to do with being married. Or effort. It's genetics. Your body gets used to the new normal and starts working on the reduced calories you give it. So you can't lose weight any more. And if you let up, at all, you now gain weight... even if you are eating less than you used to... because your body is optimized to this new normal.

Tons of people work really hard and still gain it back. The fact that you happen to be in the huge minority of folks with the genetic makeup/metabolism to defy these odds is awesome. But try not to judge those that aren't as "lazy" or whatever.

Don't you think that if your lifestyle changes your weight can change long term? Weight comes back mostly because ultimately people tend to get back to their comfortable routine sooner or later?
Or are you saying it's simply your body adjusts and slows your metabolism to the extent it cancels whatever your diet/exercise does?

Fad diets set people up to fail in the long run. Keto is a fad diet.

But if you learn to eat a lot of well prepared steamed veggies and fish/chicken and it becomes day to day for you and you throw in a cheat day or 2 a week and you make biking or jogging or yoga or walking on an incline a part of your lifestyle you can make changes

common one time

I got a keto advertisement to my email 40 seconds after making that post
