The upper class in Owen Sound is anyone with a LinkedIn account. Doesn't have to be filled out or anything - if you know about LinkedIn you fancy.

Have yall made new local friends?

I have, sort of. Couple of parents and one of my shop neighbors. Wife is home Zooming all the time though, and she's clashing big time with the local crowd. Not a lot of college professor types around here.

That's another interesting cultural clash - school teachers think they fancy and they're seen as upper class here with their $60-80k salary. (In Toronto, they're seen as part of "the help".)

My new friend at the shop has the exact same name as MrX, and he plays the guitar left-handed like yours truly. :guitar:

Nothing, he basically lives out of his tiny unit. He's a nice helpful bum and a good conversationalist.

We have standards as far as hosting bums goes and this guy meets them. :handshake:

Correct. Guitar guy is not really a bum, just a minimalist who stands to inherit a lot of property once his 96yo mom dies. He spends the nicer days on his 30ft sailboat that's docked nearby.

But yeah he is sleeping in there.

Plommer is a minimalist but no one refers to HIM as such.

Are these units really cheaper than a ghetto residential unit? I'm confused.

You can't get a ghetto apartment for $250 a month. If you're willing to cram all your possessions in 100 sq ft, this is not a bad option. All that's missing is a shower. There's a kitchenette and clean bathrooms.

Marty, show him this!
