Random thoughts

I guess I was overly casual with my shopping and I brought home 1-ply toilet paper.

I am not exaggerating when I say it is the worst thing that ever happened in my life.

Weird thing with 1-ply toilet paper tho: you'd think you could just fold it and it would be the same as multi-ply. Not really. It's semi-comparable when you leave it dry but if you dampen it for a wet wipe, it turns into a weird putty-like substance.

It's like wiping your ass with putty.

Well not putty exactly - some kind of extra-terrestrial slabby thing. Like what Neptunians would wipe their very strange, alien asses with.

Worst thing that ever happened in my life.

The Cashmere Envirocare stuff is not much better than 1-ply. Supposed to be 2-ply but it's almost see-through and it instantly disintegrates as it contacts anything else.

If this is what it takes to save the planet, I say let's focus on colonizing Mars.

You primitive humans need Dude Wipes.

I could of course just chuck the whole package of 1-ply toilet paper and move on. I can take the hit budget-wise.

But then I think of the starving kids in West Virginia.

Doesn't feel right.

There is a scene in Goodfellas where a bunch of old mob guys are in jail - but they are obviously running the joint and they have elaborate meal preparations going on.

The one guy is slicing garlic with a razor blade - and he is slicing it super thin so it will liquefy as soon as it hits the hot pan. He is slicing it so it basically can't be any thinner.

I believe my current 1-ply toilet paper must have been created by that guy and his razor blade.

I'm about to fire up the Q and do some burgers. It's not my usual burgers. Usually I buy a big wad of ground beef and make my own patties by hand.

But this time, largely due to laziness resulting from working so goddamn much these last couple months, I said fuck it and bought a box of premade patties.

These are Stuffed Burgers. It seems there is a bunch of cheese and bacon right in the middle of the patty.

So that brings up a question. Normally when I cook burgers I put some cheddar on top for the last couple minutes to melt on there. But since these burgers have already got cheese in them, do I still do that?

Yes. The answer is yes.

Man, those were some nice burgers. I'm just glad, with the weather we're having, they didn't get blown off my balcony - BBQ and all - and end up in frikkin Oz or something.

It's a bit windy round here is what I'm saying.

I frequently see woodpeckers out my window and I don't know what to think of them. Are they very cool or are they idiots?

They bash their heads against the tree which is kind of a bad-ass, fuck-the-world attitude.

But it's also a bit idiotic.

I wonder if Muddy found out if the woodpeckers are cool or if they're idiots?

Nah, working part time job in security in another part of the country that will go full time soon enough. I like it. Im kind of like Blart in Mall Cop except more useless. Looking to get back to poker as a supplemental income.
