Random thoughts

I don't get snow days. We occasionally get "flood" days.

I don't get snow days either. It's just snow. You carry on with life.

I love snow days. Of course I only get them every couple of years. You should move south.
That is the goal my dear. I grew up in this shit, and I still hate it, I was so not built for the cold.
They're not breakfast-appropriate.

the fok? says who?!

My dumb ass had the bright idea, instead of staying at his place for the day, I hiked home in the shit to see my roommate. terrible idea. Now it's back to work....weeeeee

I read a little article about words/phrases that need to be eliminated. It was typical thing of looking at modern slang and poo-pooing.

Only thing was, about half of the words/phrases that were apparently so annoyingly overused ---> I had never heard of them.

give us some examples of these words Muddy.
yeah, see, doughnuts ARE for breakfast. send one my way, would ya? I haven't ate one in forever.

Here is the list of overused buzzwords that need to be banned according to the Oxford dictionary

bae
yas (instead of yes, apparently)
lit (like, that party was lit)
fleek (???)
goals (the explanation makes no sense to me - perfectly good normal word IMO)
slay
squad (like, your friends)
feels (as in, I am having so many feels right now)
totes (for totally)
vibes

I agree with eliminating bae, fleek, lit, and totes.
the rest are fine to me.

fleek - i.e. "her eyebrows on fleek" meaning they look good, are perfect.

I use the word goals a normal, healthy amount of times. It's just a word. Goals.

Vibes is not new; goes back decades. I never notice it being overused at all.

"Feels" in that context I have only heard used ironically. It's hard for me to believe anyone would use that on the level.

Here is my thought about dying the Chicago River green:

Let's not bother.

Yas is also a colloquial way to say yes in some areas.

Finally redeemed my three free donut rims at the airport Timmies. Didn't go as smoothly as one would expect.

Me - I'll have the strawberry shortcake donut...
Timmies clerk - Oh no you can't have that one. It's not considered a donut.
Me - The strawberry shortcake donut is not considered a donut?
Timmies clerk - It's a shortcake.
Me - It's a shortcake donut.
Timmies clerk - You can't have it.
