Bought 2 MM's and one Buffalo Trace, both were on sale. :score: Ima keep one MM untouched for as long as I can.

Also have a 375ml MM on my bookshelves for decorative purposes. Thing's adorable!!!

Having some MM 45% tonight, boys.

Off tommorow and getting taxes done at accountant. Definitely a reason to drink.

Got BURIED for 6K last year. Made adjustments so were hoping for owing/getting somewhere near $0

It's $43 here now. Makes no sense when Buffalo Trace is under $40.

Just bought a bottle of Buffalo Trace on sale for $24.

I enjoy it, very drinkable.

Now it looks like a ploy to make us stock up on MM.

Having Buffalo Trace for the first time tonight.

First thoughts....

Doesn't have a superior nose like Makers.

It's smooth, though.

Tastes better than a $24 bottle of bourbon.

Packaging is slightly cheesy. Doesn't have the classic MM look.

Will check in later with more thoughts.

Also, I seem partial to the MM subtle finish.

Buffalo Trace has more of a Jim Beam Black finish. Not bad at all but not my personal preference.

I would call Buffalo Trace more "feminine" than MM, with some unusual floral hints that you normally find in Speyside scotch.

I would not use the word subtle to describe MM. IMO it's in-your-face sweetness and spice.

Cheers Daffayballs. We just had a tall glass of Jim Beam White and ginger ale. 8.2 Weeknight Matty Rains.

Yes, subtle was a terrible word because MM actually has a spicy bite at the end.

I'm seriously missing that bite right now.

Buffalo Trace is not bad for $24 as I said.

But I don't see myself buying it again unless the local shop is out of Makers or JD Single Barrel.

I find the $24 BUffalo trace to be superior to the $18 Four Roses..

I haven't tried Four Roses yet.

That's a boutique bourbon, right? Heard a lot of raving about it.

Buffalo Trace is outstanding for a $24 bottle but Daft will take the Makers for the extra $4.

I believe the $26 Four Roses Small Batch is 'where it's at'. From what I hear. Homeslice.

IMOWally Four Roses's Single Barrel blows away both the regular bottle and the Small Batch, but they're all excellent. Best value in bourbon in Ontario, s'a shame that it's not available to us year-round.

Their bottles look supremely homo gay, but whatevs.

The bottle looks like grandma perfume.

jajajajajajajajaja

Will try, though.

New entry at #21, Wild Turkey 81. It's been available for a while here, but I avoided it like the plague cause the 80 version was so bad. It's my boss's new drink of choice so I figured I would check wtf the fuss is about.

It still tastes very young and hot but there's an extra layer of smoke and caramel/vanilla hints that were absent in the nasty 80.

This one ain't bad at all, and it's dirt cheap. Well done WT. I really wish I could get your 101 though, sell it to us you foks.
