They don't. In fact I bought my motorcycle from a dealer in Alabama and didn't pay sales tax for the state of Alabama and when I registered it in Georgia I didn't pay any sales tax.

Exactly! In NJ they collect everything but the kitchen sink and don't fuk up or they'll get you! A 5K car for 2k no problem but 40K for 4k watch out!

Just went by a local dealer and looked at a few on the lot. Of course the one that really stood out was probably a tad out of my price range, but WOW I really liked the look of this car.

Yeah. The A5's aren't terrible. The coupe (that's a coupe) looks a lot better than the sportback. The sportback looks like its a hatchback. Not sure what look they were going for with it...

I'd like to see the RS5 when that comes out here in the spring.

in Ontario they use the book value of the car or the actual purchase price, whichever is higher.

In Saskatchewan if the vehicle is registered in the province the sales tax was already paid (once) and any subsequent purchase/sale of the vehicle is exempt from tax, they don't keep collecting (ie fucking people over) like Ontario every time ownership changes.

Saskatchewan doesn't have a cash flow problem like Ontario.
