Cuisine in Australia is highly Asian influenced (with exception to the obvious British influence) isn't it, Oksana?
One of my friends in Sydney is always talking about going to get Thai/Chinese/Korean food.
He eats a lot of curry too. I'm not sure how someone chooses to eat curry unless they're out of dog food though...
Very Asian here. It took me awhile to appreciate because I was so used to the whitey versions they serve back home in most places. I used to laugh when I'd hear about people coming to Melbourne from the N. America or Europe to go on culinary tours but I understand now. You can find authentic food from everywhere in almost every suburb and it'll range from hole in the wall takeaways to really posh restaurants. So instead of having to do a tour of Asia and Europe, you can get it all done here in suburbs dominated by those ethnicities. Or in the CBD.
And yeah, not a fan of curry at all. I've eaten it twice since I've been down here, once in NZ, and both times I was really sick. It's silly but that's the only reason I haven't made it to India yet. Other than naan bread, I don't like any of the food.
