he's not little anymore

he's in Africa in one of our church programs for 1-2 years, in a last ditch effort to get him out of the gangs and not dead before 16.

a few attempts have been made on his life.... we have a few kids down there now. It changes their whole world view, and if we can get them right into a college out of the city when they come back, its a pretty decent "success" rate (not dead, not a killer, not sucking up tax dollars in jail)

that's an excellent idea.. get them out of that environment, send them far away with a connecting to their roots bs concept

expose them to a semi independent life, helping others, other cultures, less fortunate people etc etc

We take trips to Africa for 2-3 weeks in the summer and spring breaks....

but we've never really left anyone there... I just posted that, because I'm pretty sure the Gangsta Disciples and Vice Lords monitor this board looking for clues to his whereabouts...
