he's in Africa in one of our church programs for 1-2 years, in a last ditch effort to get him out of the gangs and not dead before 16.

a few attempts have been made on his life.... we have a few kids down there now. It changes their whole world view, and if we can get them right into a college out of the city when they come back, its a pretty decent "success" rate (not dead, not a killer, not sucking up tax dollars in jail)
