Who will get it first?

I'm considering the USA fully seeded at this point. Some of us have higher probabilities of contagion than others. Containment was never in the cards, mitigation only slows the spread. Odds are it will get to some of us.

+Boner rides the train everyday

+Tron was on a cruise

+Stevek works in a shopping center

-Matty works on his own

-RJ goes 3-4 days without leaving the apt

+Muddy works with hundreds of others

+Teela always breaks something

+Xpy visiting Southeast Asia

I felt very weak and feverish for few days. But currently the right combination of drugs n whiskey n two hockey games got me feeling pretty good. I was thinking maybe I have it :dunno:

I have to be up there as far as odds.

I take buses and subways almost every day.

I often work in hotels and other places with high foot traffic.

I'm a slob around slobs almost 24/7.

<----pandemic waiting to happen

Casinos very dicey right now, probably less dangerous than people make them out to be.

I bet the table action blows and will for awhile.

yeah sounds like a bunch of bs. If they have to shut down a whole thing because one person tested positive somewhere, might as well accept that everybody gonna get exposed and tell people who are particularly high risk to consider staying the fuck home for couple months

I was out of commission last six days with REGULAR flu... does Corona come next? :eyes:

Fiance is a nurse. Have two weddings to attend over the next few weeks. I seem like a decent play.

I'm gonna go with Blitty though. Seems like disasters have been following him around. RIP pal.

I believe you already had/have it! No fever but I have felt weak (could be age catching up) for awhile! I believe this is the worst flu season (include NJ) I have ever experienced not including corona! MrsM had some kind of flu like sickness twice earlier in the season! Just my guess but believe many more have it/something than the stats say! Just the way it hits you with less authority and a strong immune system helps!

RC

Dammit Dave.

I was on my way to post your name before I saw what you said. Haha.

Mainly cause you’re in LA and the nurse thing.

I’m bunkered in anonymity lately, with no upcoming travel plans, which is rare for me.

Boner/Matty/Tron tied for 2nd.

Wife works in a hospital and her coworker thinks she got it, she's getting tested today.

We take public transit every day to drop off and pick up JL from school.

Betting 5 units on myself.

Here's a virus site! It shows that slightly more than 50% of the sick have recovered! And of course China is stating their people are recovering from it. Which you can surmise if say it's a 2-3 week time limit on the virus, Chinese got it earlier than the rest of the world! So yes they should have people recovering sooner!

And 90% of the active cases are MILD! Bottom line is it's "flu", a BAD one indeed but just a flu just like the swine flu 10 years! Yes it is WORSE than swine but the FEAR level IMO associated with it is greater than it has to be. Of course the major precautions being taken are necessary, but the end results hopefully will not equal where the fear level reached!

Bad news and good news to me with the virus! Bad of course old people dying mostly but good being not nearing as fatal to infants and young children! Previously it was old people with weak immune systems were in trouble but also the young without fully developed immune systems were targeted. So far thank God not so! That's the way it should be, making it to 70-80 years old ain't bad at all!

I was idly wondering today what the odds are that one of the ULINE branches has the virus turn up and has to shut down. There are ~12 branches in 3 countries. ~6000 employees.

I decided there was a better than 50/50 chance.

Maybe that's conservative.

MrM 🤦‍♂️

Once again, it has little to do with how deadly the virus is. The issue is how fast it's spreading. Hospitals can only deal with so many people at once. We need to slow down the transmission rate. The panic is completely justified - doing nothing would/will cripple society as a whole.

Did you missed the "Of course the major precautions being taken are necessary" I posted? The panic could be toned down to reserved worry! I understand you're in a state of panic presently! In all seriousness, I hope the best for you and the family and be careful!

so it's spreading faster than the flu? How fast does flu spread?
