I have to say, I'm enjoying modern baseball. I hadn't watched games on TV in several years. Games are significantly faster now.

I've always said to people who I know in real life who "hate baseball"

Watch 3 games. If possible, pick a team to root for.

Very few friends returned after 3 games and held the same opinion about MLB.

The new rules have helped.
 
I wasn' sure about the new extra inning rules at first, but having the guy on 2nd makes things exciting. No more passive extra inning ball.

Big fan of Aaron Nola of course but when a runner would get on base ..... I lost it every time!

I LOVE the new rules for TV.

I kind of dislike them while at the stadium. Used to be nice to drink beer and eat dogs with the leisurely fuckery of a game in the background for 5 hours.

Agree 100%, Dave. The new rules have diminished the live experience.

What I do to counteract that a bit is get to the ballpark as soon as the gates open.
 
A's, D'Backs, White Sox, Mets and Cardinals all pinging.

Marlins are OTB right now. They have a "opener" of sorts. Sixto Sanchez. My favorite pitcher. He went like 1,900 days in between MLB starts because of shoulder issues.

He got a Win vs the Cubs in the 2020 playoffs.
