are you still working at the golf course? i think i remember a video or 2 with some beverage bitches...

yeah man...fucking tech. and the way kids are built these days is unreal... see so many 6'2 , 135lb kids around that just fucking murder it...

an investment group im part of will sponser a hometown kid once in a while... nothing has really panned out though

im lucky that im not a few years older or else i probably would have quit back in h.s. see, the age group above me had the likes of Shaun Micheel and Doug Barron in it...there were some other guys that played mini tours from around here, but those 2 are names you would recognize. i would have never won shit with those guys around... the age group under me was steller from memphis too....my best friend, Jason Walters played for ga.tech with Cink and Duval and the now head coach at Augusta St., Josh Gregory was a good friend and student of mine for quite a few years...

i could talk about those good ole days forever man, but for now, i dont have much to do with golf besides playing in the summer... i go to the Masters every year with Josh and the team and i house a handful of caddies during the St. Jude here every year... i had some decent finishes in some mid-am tourneys a few years ago when i first turned 35, but just dont have the time to commit these days... maybe when im 40 i will give it a go and re dedicate myself a bit..at least for some mid am stuff... right now, dating a 26yr old and doing things that 20somethings do, is keeping me from having the will power...

bread, you bonerhead, ajga is the junior tour....can play or attempt to play on it till you are 18... you will never see good pros who didnt excel on the ajga tour.

RayRay, I work for the city not the golf course. The course I did the video at is the course I first started playing when I was 28. It's a par 60 fully lit executive course. I also am a member at a different course. I have worked at the excutive course in the past though, everything from ranger to starter to range.

I do this whole gambling thing and I have been seriously addicted to it in the past but I have never done anything non-stop or been more immersed than I have been with golf. There have been times in previous years when I have literally bought 7 sets of clubs.

As into gadgets as I am I don't get into all those golf gizmo's. Just quality equipment.
 
i hear ya...i cant relate though... i still play with my mb-690s that i got probably 7 yrs or so ago...love the feel of blades... these days, you dont see anyone with true blades anymore unless they are tour players...the half/half stuff that callaway, taylor made and titliest makes have made the game so much easier...ill break down soon and get a set as well... and new drivers with thinner faces and shit keep coming out..im good for a new one every few years, but ill never play anything but titliest...

only gadget that ive seen thats really worth something are those arced wooden putting boards...cant remember the name of it, but the guy who invented it is from tenn...lots of tour guys use it...its good business.
 
I played Cleveland TA-3's for a while and loved them. I always stuck to smaller headed more traditional looking irons with a thin topline. Couldn't stand looking down and seeing the face totally closed and this fat topline looking up at me. Game just doesn't support the true blade style anymore. I went to the Titleist AP2's and loved them but again when your swing keeps changing and your point of contact varies not only round to round but shot to shot there still isn't enough forgivness even with those.

Now I am relegated to playing Ping G5 irons, G15 hybrids and I15 driver. I still have to have a stiff flex open driver or else I hook it too bad. My next step in the senior progression of gold will probably be Taylormade Burner Plus irons. I hate that though cause as big as that G5 iron head is it's small compared to that Burner Plus head.
 
those are big...you dont like any of the 7 or 9series shit they have out? i have hit some balls with the tour 7 series shit, but i hate the lack of feel...ill deal with it next year i suppose...football is too close for me to jack around with it now
 
Always been a feel player but as stated my swing is so all over the place I need the extra forgiveness. You know when you hit it perfectly with the advantage irons but there is absolutely no capparisn to when you nut a perfectly struck blade. Those who don't golf won't understand the euphoric feeling of striking a forged 7 iron dead in the sweet spot.
 
I'm kind of pissed that no-one else particpated in various random thoughts. This is right up Bread's alley. Not to mention is unlike threads with a message that become posters random thoughts this one's sloe purpose is just that.

Bread, I am trying to stop posting at SBR and so you are getting all of me. Place is so slow though and I have developed a very large appetite for content.

Sicky, if Shari can't see there is more to you than your unit size then so long Shari.

I don't get it though, JJ is still in Shari's favor (we spell it correctly) and he's made it very clear he's not of average.
