This thread will be for drinking songs.

Anything by the Pogues is drinking music. Shane McGowan is the prototypical Irish singing drunk.

What'll I do if you never wanna come back
Sittin in a city that is always on the attack
What'll I do if you never want me back
Come with me come back we'll live again

And what if I'm only satisfied when I'm at home
Sittin in a city that'll never let me go
What if I'm only satisfied when I'm at home

What'll I do if you never find me again
Sittin in a Province a million miles from my friends
What'll I do if you never want me again
Come with me come back we'll live again

What if I'm only satisfied when I'm at home
Sittin in a city that'll never let me go
What if I'm only satisfied when I'm alone

Late at night
Sink your heart into mine
And I will never try
As you forget your northern lights

Late at night
Sync your hearbeat to mine
I will never try
To forget your northern lights

Gone away again
From this Alberta pen
And I will never try
To forget your northern eyes

Gone away again
From this Alberta pen
And I will never try
To forget your northern eyes

Baby then again
Under the lights at the Leg
And we will burn our eyes
Seeking out these purple nights

Baby then again
Under the lights at the Leg
And we will burn our eyes
Seeking out these purple nights

Well, I'm a jitterbug boy
by the shoe-shine
resting on my laurels
and my Hardys too
life of Riley on a swing shift
gears follow my drift
Once upon a time I was
in show-biz too

I seen the Brooklyn Dodgers
playin at Ebbets Field
seen the Kentucky Derby too
it's fast women, slow horses, unreliable sources
and I'm holding up a lamp post
if you want to know
I seen the Wabash Cannonball,
buddy, I've done it all

beause I slept with the lions
and Marilyn Monroe
had breakfast in the eye
of a hurricane
fought Rocky Marciano,
played Minnesota Fats
burned hundred-dollar bills,
I eaten Mulligan stew
got drunk with Louis Armstrong
what's that old song?
I taught Mickey Mantle
everything that he knows

and so you ask me
what I'm doing here
holding up a lamp post
flippin this quarter,
trying to make up my mind
and if it's heads I go to
Tennessee, and tails I buy a drink
if it lands on the edge
I keep talking to you

Matty, the BEST all time song is Tom Trauberts Blues. I used to keep it on a cassette both sides and listen to it over and over on a loop when I was getting over a girl.

wow, casper is into tom waits.... thats wild (in a good way)
:inquisition:

I am a HUGE fan. For real. Even sat through all his movies.
