Cashed my Oaks/Derby fave DD... thats it - lost about $225 today.

Remind me why this is fun?

Nah, it is fun..once a year. I would think it takes more discipline in horse racing than regular sports betting, but not sure why I think that.

Bail out for race 12?

I never bet the 12th race.

I'm done for that day.

I hear ya pal. Its a ritual, hype. It sucks. Unless you win, then I assume you have pleasant thoughts for a year. wouldnt know :dunno:

Good job Casper, how the fok does it pay so much with fav winning?

I was a bit shocked as well.

My guess was $140

I guess nobody had the 17 horse anywhere in the mix.

I did hit the trifecta on the one of the TC races..I can't remember if it was the Derby or the Preakness...thought it was the derby..a couple years ago...but the pleasant thoughts of that race are long gone.

I didn't expect it to be that much either. I hate when you hit a tri and it only pays $60 or something lol.

wot? no way a derby tri pays $60
No, I didn't mean the Derby...I just meant some random race... I remember hitting a superfecta once with a small field and getting super excited and it paid less than $200. That was at Arapahoe Park..do you ever go there Reno?

oh yeah. I haven't been there in a while. They run like 2 month out of the year, quarter horses mainly I think. I see what u mean. Not only you got to hit it, but it also cant have all favorites.
Its a tough business iag. I was exclusively a greyhound better for the 1st 5 years of my gambling career. Only started making meaningful $ once I moved on to casinos. Racing is the most creative, challenging gamble imo, but it also has the biggest vig.

Winning race bettors are the tops of all gamblers imo

I agree Reno. Any long term winning horse players are a unique combination of sharp, patient and lucky.

I have noticed some Numerology similarities between this year's winner and last year's winner ORB.

I'll figure out some kinda of trend

pissed away about 80$ on that shit today....fuck those horses.

So Medal Count had a horse veer out in front of him. He appeared to have a head of steam and was gonna get in the money.

Unless I was looking at the wrong horse, which is possible.

Can anyone give me a confirmation?

And where is this horse gonna run next? He's gonna be a lock
