Over Christmas/New Year's we went to Nicaragua. We hiked up and then went sledding down Cerro Negro (black hill), which is an active volcano that erupted in 1992 and sent ashes all over the city of Leon (Mrs. Mcb hometown).

that whole region of Leon is super special, the Cerro Negro that mcb hiked is just one of the active volcanoes, there's like 7 of them active, that ash works as natural fertilizer, making Nicaragua one of the most fertile agricultural country, only Indonesia is more blessed with volcanoes, the Flor de Caña rum is made from sugar cane grown at the foot of one of those volcanoes
