It is rather interesting what is happening with Arsenal. People calling for Wenger's head need to have their own heads examined. Sure he has a lapse in judgement thinking he could hold onto both Nasri and Fabregas. In reality Fabregas was always going to leave and last year was obviously his last. He should have prepared his side for those departures. But modern Arsenal is only what it is because of Wenger's transfer policy. I doubt that without Wenger that there'd be an Emerates Stadium. Maybe this year will just be a toss out and they can regroup for next season. That's my rant.
 
I agree fiver and good to see you back posting. Arsenal is still one of the most lucrative clubs in the world and tons of young talent on that squad, I am just amazed at the two teams in Manchester this year. Chelsea , Arsenal and Liverpool are going to have a tough time competing with these teams for the premiership title. Man city looks incredible right now.

After this past weekend, I have a feeling on these lines on the manchester squads are going to really be tougher to play. The disparity in talent between the Manchesters and the lower teams in the league is phenomenal .

Just like the amount of money spent on the players. Man city to me looks like the perfect squad right now.

Fiver, Arsenal has to beat swansea? Arsenal is so hard to figure out right now with all the signings and the goings on at the transfer window.

I hate laying anything over a goal on a handicap on this squad but against swansea maybe they will come alive. I am playing it safe and taking a parlay with arsenal/man city/ barcelona ml

Those were some poor goals Barca gave up yesterday, I really think they have some major weaknesses in their defense, you cant let a team like Milan hang around and Milan got this result without Ibrahimovic! Very disappointing performance from Barcelona, they played the majority of the game after the first goal in the Milan side of the field and still come away with a draw.

I love watching man city play right now , one of the strongest sides in europe so far and they need this win, Group A is the group of death this year. Dzeko and Aguero are just incredible to watch . Its strange to see Napoli over Juve or Roma this year from the Serie A but they are a strong side, they didnt look to sharp against the spanish sides in the club friendlies and beating a Cesena team in serie a with 10 isnt all that impressive but both sides are probably just ecstatic to be in the champions league.

Napoli has Marek Hamsik but there is no way that squad can compare to the kind of money that Mansour spent on Man city and this should be an incredible atmosphere for the Blues first champions league appearance.

I know some people on the boards and on various sites say Man U would be happy with a draw with Chelsea coming up on Sunday, but I don't see Manchester playing the way they are now and facing the toughest test out of their group just settling for a draw. Benfica is tough at home but the disparity in talent between these squads is immense, Benfica may play for a draw, but I just don't see Ferguson taking a chance of giving up a late goal, Man U should win this.

You may want to see the starting lineups for Ferguson though, this Benfica game will be the toughest game Man U has had this season and the toughest one out of their group in the Champions league, but Chelsea on Sunday may change things.

I realize betting on Romo is a crapshoot but he is a much better quarterback than Alex smith, the cowboys are coming off a game where they go into the 4th quarter against the Jets with a 14 point lead and they still end up losing, I read a stat that they were 241-1-1 when leading by 14+ in 4th quarter. Dallas actually looked great against the jets and had excellent stats, but Romo basically lost this one.

Dallas has to be fired up to win this, being in a division with a much improved Redskins and with arguably one of the best teams in football with the Eagles, your chances of making the playoffs by starting off 0-2 are going to be slim. I wasnt that impressed with the Niners, alot of there points came from Ginns returns and this game was actually 19-17 and pretty close before Seattle decides to kick to Ginn. Outside of Ginn, alot of people find the niners a rather dull team to watch, sort of like the offensively challenged Giants in baseball. The Niners really had a very poor game against Seattle, struggling to move the ball on offense. Seattle actually had more first downs and Seattle passed for 155 yards and the Niners only passed for 124 yards.

Some people think Harbaugh represents a new era,we will see. One thing is for sure, the Niners are going to have to pass the ball at some point with Dallas banged up secondary and the strength of Dallas with their rushing defense.The Cowboys only allowed the Jets 45 rushing yards as as Sean Lee and DeMarcus Ware were just beast on defense. Even with Dallas missing Terence Newman and Orlando Scandrick and one of their best cover specialists Mike Jenkins having shoulder problems, I just dont know if Alex smith can take advantage.

Baltimore -5.5 -110 risk 1.10

I have no problems laying this number on the road,Baltimore is agood road team going 14-8-2 in their last 24 road games overall and looked unstoppable against Pitt. The Titans and Chris Johnson looked lost against a pretty average defense in Jacksonville, Johnson had all of 24 yards, what in Gods name are they going to do against the Ravens? Hasselback is going to really struggle against ed reed and lewis and suggs, and Tennessee's usually strong defense let Luke McCown absolutely torch them in the secondary. One of the great things about the Ravens this year is they actually have a strong offense, I really dont see where the points are going to come from for the Titans.



Redskins -3.5 -105 risk 3.15

Arizona won their opener but got absolutely torched by newton for 422 yards, and could have easily lost that game if Carolina wasn't such a weak team this year. I was this stat this morning , since 2008, Arizona is 5-10-2 as road dog and coming across the country to face a pretty good Redskins team is not going to be easy.

I started off this season as having the Carolina Panthers as on of the worst teams in the NFL , and I still believe that even though Newton may change my mind. Today we find out.

Looking at the the numbers , Vick had a good day passing against a weak st louis pass rush, but it was on ground where they did the damage to the Rams. I dont think that score was really indicative of the game, the Rams just looked pathetic on offense. I think you have to take into account Atlanta is a one of toughest home teams as well, Matt Ryan has taken over from Vick and gone 20-2 at home. 20-2! I am not going to put much on this game though, The Eagles have dominated the Falcons under Andy reid, going 8-1 against Atlanta, and may end up justifying the hype.
