Last Wednesday saw the Men's 4x10 km Relay take place in the Whistler Olympic Park which was won by the Swedish quartet who took the lead in the second leg and never looked back. It was also notable for the performance of the Czech team who came back from 9th after the first leg to win bronze, also Norway were in 6th position after the third before storming back and grabbing silver. Norway had a poor first leg by Martin Sunby, a not much better second by Odd-Bjoern Hjelmeset but an inspired final leg by Petter Northug brought the silver medal back to Norway. The Men's 4x10 km Relay is an event that does not attract a high television audience and so all that would have been forgotten by most people had it not been for comments by Odd-Bjoern Hjelmeset yesterday to explain the reason behind his poor showing in the event.
"My name is Odd-Bjoern Hjelmeset. I skied the second lap and I f***ed up today. I think I have seen too much porn in the last 14 days. I have the room next to Petter Northhug and every day there is noise in there. So I think that is the reason I f***ed up. By the way, Tiger Woods is a really good man."
