One of my safety courses (H2S Alive) was taught by an ex RCMP officer here in Sask, during breaks in class we would have a chance to shoot the breeze, he was saying how easy it was to smuggle stuff across the border both ways. He said for a few years after 911 patrols were stepped up on the US side but lately things have returned to normal.

Still alot of smuggling going on up here on the 49th parallel. Plenty of farmers fields back on to the border on both sides.
