I feel like it was ridiculous of the Boston Bruins to fire Peter Chiarelli - but I feel like it is a pretty good deal for both Edmonton and Chiarelli that he has landed there.

In synchronized diving, judges are looking for synchronicity and minimal splash.

Oh yeah, that'll hurt. I did some competitive diving in my younger years and the flat-out bellyflop/backflop - even from lower heights than that - will get your attention in a big way.

I have a fear of diving. Love swimming, no diving

I was fearless at the time but looking back, it freaks me out.

I remember a bunch of times where lifeguards and coaches were frantically warning me about how close my head was coming to the springboard.

That can be serious. I remember a dude died from that kind of smackage at a Commonwealth (PanAm??) Games in Canada.

Allegedly he crashed his SUV into another vehicle driven by a pregnant woman - who suffered a broken arm - and he jumped out of his SUV and ran.

Same on diving.

Bacon can hold his breath underwater for a long time. There were a few instances where Bacon would jump off the high diving board at the public pool and then would hang out at the bottom of the pool scavenging for change with which I would buy candy. The lifeguards would dive in thinking something was wrong.

All that was wrong was I wasn't finished yet, dickheads.
