It is a funny situation with the Venus Williams thing. The commentator described her play as having a guerilla/gorilla effect on her opponent. I buy that he was saying guerilla. In context it makes more sense than gorilla. She was using guerilla tactics.

The people having the offended reaction seem racist to me. They clearly see her being compared to a gorilla as a reasonable possibility.

But boy if you see someone like that charging there's only one kind of gorilla that would come to mind for most people.

Maybe the bigger point everyone misses is that they hire a bunch of yahoos to over comment on every goddamn thing in sport. They often seem to run out of stupid analogies and are forced to find even more idiotic ones. Just shut up and let people watch the game.
