On The Record: Daft

Daft the series was supposed to be hard-hitting tough questions that would put posters on the Hot Seat and challenge them to face the decision of being honest or being fake.

It has failed to this point because I have failed to ask the tough questions. You will be the 3rd installment but the FIRST done right.

1: How long have you been a cop?

2: If you could play a cop on TV which of these famous cops would you have portrayed?

Officer Vince Romano (Adrian Zmed) from the show TJ Hooker. Vince wasnt the brightest guy to ever wear a badge but he might have been the puurtiest.

Officer Frank Poncherello aka Ponch (Eric Estrada) from the show CHiPs. Ponch like Vince was prettier than he was bright.

Deputy Barney Fife (Don Knots) from the show The Andy Griffith Show. Unlike Vince or Ponch poor ol Barney was absent when they were giving out looks and even more unfortunate they gave out smarts the same day.

I was gonna include Crocket and Tubbs but lets face it none of us are Miami Vice cool.

3: What do you consider to be your most profitable sport to wager on?

4: Have you had more success in life with brunettes, redheads or blondes?

5: Regardless of what you tell the ladies what you noticed first about them what do you REALLY notice first?

6: How many times have you manipulated a situation in interviewing a witness, a victim or a traffic violator into a date?

7: Being that this is the internet and all and there are numerous people out there that embellish a little or a lot, do you really Serve and Protect or Observe and Report? You know, are you a real cop or Mall Security?

8: You have Teela and Robyn both pulled over for doing the same exact offense at separate times, which one got a ticket and which one got Daft Discretion?

9: Is it worse for 4 white kids riding around blasting Hip Hop or a grown 30+ professional male using the term brah?

Now now Coug's, 2 of the 3 are arguably icons in the world of television cops. I'll have you know Eric Estrada to this day still dresses up as Ponch for special engagements. Why he was the honorary Marshall at a golf tournament just last year.

BoxCleanerDaddy was around the time of the stuff with the "incident" and what happened there is none of my business and not something I would ever joke about. I can be a dick for no reason but I tend to stay away from real life issues that don't concern me, aren't my business or overly sensitive.

As for music and wine, we don't agree on a lot of music and I didn't take the time to research wine.

I was watching them film the show COPS the other day. Metro had some decent looking chick in a Mercedes pulled over by NY NY. They pulled her out of the car and gave her a sobriety check. Seemed like they were just fishing for something to get her on so they could put her on the show. They ended up letting her drive away.

I find it difficult to believe that a male police officer would pull over an attractive female for no valid reason.

Cops are heroes, heroes do not behave this way.

I saw a Vegas episode of COPS a month or so ago and I thought of you. A guy was pulled over for driving erratically and he lied about his name. When the cop told him to get out of the car, he did a runner in some hotel parking lot.

When he was finally caught, the guy burst into tears. Turns out he was running because he had some weed and an unloaded gun in the car. And he was on probation for something already. Single dad; mother was a druggie who left them or died. Can't remember.

Some people were wheeling luggage in the parking lot when he was running and I wondered if you would've nonchalantly pushed the trolley in front of the cop to slow him down.

I think I may have but maybe that's because I have the benefit of knowing why he was running after the fact.
