If you're going to watch a lot of sports/action, you'd probably want to go with plasma or a very low response rate LCD, choo. LCD can leave artifacts with slower response rates leaving "smearing" on your screen when watching fast moving graphics.

Personally, I'd rather go to a store to compare sets and then shop for the best price available afterward.

An outstanding picture quality with inky blacks, an elegant design, and numerous features combine to make the 55-inch Bravia XBR-55HX929 one of the best HDTVs you can buy.
Bose VideoWave Entertainment System
Screen Size/TV Type: 46-Inch LCD
Current Street Price: $5,350

With its proprietary audio processing technology and 16-speaker array, the Bose VideoWave pumps out a wall of sound unequaled in the HDTV arena. What's more, this ber-expensive 46-inch CCFL-backlit set delivers top-notch picture quality and features an innovative on-screen user interface.
Samsung PN51D8000
Screen Size/TV Type: 51-Inch Active 3D Plasma
Current Street Price: $1,800

While it's not for the thin of wallet or flimsy of fuse box, the Samsung PN51D8000 is an excellent, full-featured 3D plasma HDTV that delivers plenty of bang for its significant buck.
Sharp Aquos LC-70LE735U
Screen Size/TV Type: 70-Inch Active 3D LED
Current Street Price: $3,500

The Sharp AQUOS LC-70LE735U offers excellent shadow detail, vibrant colors, and high-quality active-shutter 3D in a massive 70-inch LED-backlit screen, but all that screen real estate doesn't come cheap.
Sony Bravia KDL-46EX720
Screen Size/TV Type: 46-Inch Active 3D LED
Current Street Price: $1,250

With excellent 2D- and 3D-picture quality, a hearty feature set, and an affordable price, the GreenTech-approved Sony KDL-46EX720 is a winner on all fronts.
Vizio XVT3D650SV
Screen Size/TV Type: 65-Inch Passive 3D LED
Current Street Price: $2,500

The first passive 3D HDTV, Vizio's 65-inch XVT3D650SV delivers theater-like 3D on a big screen, and includes four sets of 3D glasses, five HDMI ports, and a generous catalog of Internet apps.
Panasonic TC-L42D30
Screen Size/TV Type: 42-Inch LED
Current Street Price: $750

Despite its low price, the Panasonic TC-L42D30 offers a generous feature set and good overall image quality. But it does have some trouble displaying deep blacks and it produces a fair amount of backlight bleeding.
Panasonic TC-P50GT30
Screen Size/TV Type: 50-Inch Active-3D Plasma
Current Street Price: $1,200

The Panasonic TC-P50GT30 offers solid performance at a reasonable price, but its hunger for electricity and some fringing in dark areas of its picture hold it back.
Toshiba 46SL417U
Screen Size/TV Type: 46-Inch LED
Current Street Price: $800

Its picture isn't perfect, but the Toshiba 46SL417U is a feature-packed, energy-efficient 47-inch LED-backlit HDTV that comes at a very fair price.

Anyone have any experience with the new Vizio 3D, LED, Internet TV's? I was just reading some reviews and couldn't find any bad ones but you never know how many reviews are consumer based and how many are company generated.

If the reviews are correct it sounds like Vizio goes punch for punch and TKO's the competition on price.
