What's amazing is how red-hot Phoenix is, too. Over this 5-0 stretch they've had a game every day we have, and have won all 5 of theirs, too.

I'd have giftwrapped coach of the year to Terry Murray on most years, but it'll be awfully hard to deny Dave Tippet if things keep up, which it looks like they will.
 
Yeah i think the Phoenix thing is much more amazing. Over the last couple of years you could see the talent the Kings were building and it was just a matter of putting it all together with a couple more pieces. The Coyotes had looked hopeless and the off season stories that the team was bankrupt and was moving didn't help.

Agreed. The Kings are exceeding my expectations (especially considering the injuries), but not by much. I figured they'd be around the 8th to 10th seed at this point, fighting with 4-6 teams for that 7th and 8th spot.

Phoenix, with the offseason they had, looked on their way to a bottom-5 type season. Clearly not the case.
