Mac OS X is not immune from anything. There are plenty of holes in its architecture. And the fact that most Apple users think that they aren't susceptible makes the OS a prime target in the coming years.

I'm well aware the reasons why hackers aren't writing code for Mac (yet) but the fact remains; if you have a Mac right now you neither get viruses or have the need to protect your machine from viruses.

How about iOS?

I haven't really examined the iOS yet, RJ. The difficulty with the iOS (outside of perhaps some Safari exploits) would be that most application transfers occur through the App Store. Jailbroken phones would seem to be more susceptible to attack I would think.

I'm sure there are ways, however.

Never had any viruses on my Mac and will continue to only buy Apple as my next computer also! Not because of no viruses just cause never had to have service on it for any problems!

Son also told me they don't go after Apple cause they only fuk with the big guys! This though is the first thing that if only a mild hinderance I have seen go after my Mac!

Macs get viruses and the company doesn't offer support for their infected populace. Google "mac defender" and if you are so confident in your immunity click all the links that come up.

The vast majority of Windows virii/trojans/malware allow users to seemlessly operate their machines as well...

Tranquility does not necessitate immaculacy.

In fact, the noisy virii are the most benign.
