Cool pics Matty. I have a Nikon Coolpics, how do you shoot lightning storms and night pics?

Set the camera on a tripod and take 2-second+ exposures at random until you luck out and catch a bolt. It helps to be way above ground level and use a wide angle lens so your camera covers a wide field.

With a modern DSLR, you can set it to shoot continuously and unattended, so you only need to review the pics to find the bolts.
