1) Use a tripod or lay the camera on a flat surface
2) Set camera to shutter priority mode and/or manually set exposure to 1/5 of a second or longer
3) Take pic
4) Marvel at motion blur

No real need for a tripod nowadays with them fancy-schmancy stabilizing DSLR's, but with a cheap point n shoot you need steady support.

I enjoy photography and all the boring technical aspects of it.
