Sounds like he just got a little caught up in things and didn't know any better. Doesn't make it any less pathetic, though.
I really hope Avatar doesn't win Best Picture. It's a fine enough movie for what it is, but not worthy of that sort of accolade. It would cheapen the award a bit in my view. This is indicative of a very weak field. I can't muster any interest in watching the Hurt Locker. I'm sure I will eventually, but there's nothing pulling me to do so any time soon.
