I thought my work computer was fried too - power went out at the office and my laptop shut itself down instead of switching to battery power. Wouldn't power back on until I took out the battery and put it back in.

My joual is straight working-class, east-end Montreal. Standard. I only use it with relatives.

My Grandma's is absolutely nuts. She's from the bas du fleuve (Rivire-Ouelle, QC). My French-immersion fiance can't catch more than 10% of what she says. It's full of antiquated words and expressions.
