OK, so another one of my friends has the same birthday as me.
Apparently, everyone went out to a bar last night or something, a couple of people texted me asking if "I was going to the bar for xxx's birthday."
I didn't know anything about it, so that's what I said. Got another today saying "why weren't you at the bar last night celebrating xxx's birthday?"
First off, I have no interest in hanging with my "friends". Yes I was friends with them in high school and all of my life, because like friends, we all shared the same interests in those days. I went away for college, they all stayed home for the most part and ended up dropping out of college if they even went and using drugs. Nothing against any of that, but with my career aspirations and upcoming review of my character, it's not really the best idea for me to associate with a common nuisance in that of drug users. Again, nothing against those that do drugs, I don't honestly care. I just can't hang out with you.
Another thing, why in the hell would I want to subject myself to celebrate someone elses' birthday on the same day as mine if no one even mentions mine?
Just felt like getting it off my chest.
My birthday was perfect for me though. Specifically asked for nothing, received something rather small from my parents in comparison to what I would have gotten if I were to ask for something. God some cards with $20s from grandparents or other extended family, which is the norm. Nothing major. Went to eat with my family. Nothing major, just how I like it. So I'm not pissed or anything, if my tone appears that way. God Bless.
