how much did that n***a owe??

did he really put half a mil on duke -7??

is that really what happened? he owed so much money that he would never be able to get out of it? If so then even if duke had covered he still probably would have owed a ton.

so now all those bookies are out millions?

this is a very very strange story.

If this was truly a murder/suicide over money (???????????????????) and gambling losses (???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), this absolutely sickens me. Get a fucking grip, ADDICTS!!!! Whenever Bread gets angry due to a gambling loss (????????), I seriously want to laugh in his face, but I can't. You did it to yourself, son!!

But seriously though, I think there is more to the story. I tell you, I can feel it in the bones in my boobs. Something is certainly amiss.

Robyn, there could be any number of reasons. I really doubt it has to do with gambling losses. More like decades of undeclared income and unpaid taxes on semi-legal business ventures like, say, a website that directly profits off offshore gambling.

It could be a lot of other things outside EOG.com, but everything points to Uncle Sam figuring out that he was owed a shitload of cash. For a guy like Shrink who lived in a mansion and probably had access to a ton of personal and company credit, it had to be a huge-ass amount. Millions, several dozens of them maybe.

I'm sure there were other reasons as well, but if he'd won that bet do you think he and his wife would have agreed to take a nap in the car 5 days later? I doubt it.

I think anyone who makes this decision is suffering from mental illness. I think Ken could have used a real shrink. This is just pathetic. I have no sympathy for them. It makes me very angry when people value their wealth to the point of doing something like this when faced with the possibility of having to live by similar means as I.

Matty, they don't lock you up for that. If you are facing a life in jail, I can maybe....maybe...comprehend. But if this is all about realizing you will no longer be able to live life in the manner you are accustom to, but still as a free man surrounded by people you love and who love you, and you can't bear the thought of not having the money to the point you'd rather die. Fucking disgusting.

Well, yeah... I guess they can if you were actively evading them and can't reimburse what you owe. I was thinking that it would be something lawyers could work out where you liquidate your possessions and are able to pay your debt.

It sickens me that people can let money do this to them. So you might not have been driving a Lexus anymore. Boo fucking hoo. Look around.

My thoughts exactly. So shallow. And the idea that the wife may have been murdered over this vanity. UGH!

In my ongoing dealings with addicts, I see people of all ages starting over all the time.

Exactly. Liquidate your possessions. And probably close your businesses cause the IRS finally realized that you were a US citizen making a living as a glorified sportsbook agent. Then maybe you can move in with your step-son and work a couple shifts at Home Depot to pay for groceries.

SBR_John must've called his accountant in the past few days:

"Hmmm... are you sure you know what you're doing?"

lolz, Forumville

Yeah, I'd rather die than work at Home Depot too. Because those would have been his only two choices.

Jello, there's a bunch of corporations involved in there, it's not just one working stiff misreporting his personal income for a couple years. For someone to commit suicide over it, it had to be a huge mess.

Again, wild speculation. But it makes some kind of sense.
