Psy Imposter Crashes Cannes VIP Parties
A man pretending to be the Gangnam Style singer parties with stars, picks up freebies - and even dances on French television.
"A man pretending to be South Korean pop star Psy has blagged his way into some of the biggest parties at the Cannes Film Festival, it has emerged.
The imposter bears a resemblance to the Gangnam Style and Gentleman singer, and had been spotted at VIP events at the famous festival.
He partied with stars, picked up freebies, danced on a French TV show and even signed a deal to take part in a Monaco gala.
"He was playing it up full scale," a source told the New York Post. "He had three security guards with him at all times, in suits and earpieces."
But Psy wrote on Twitter that he was not in France and was currently working in Singapore.
"Seems like there's another ME at cannes," the real Psy tweeted. "Say Hi to him."
He had been informed about having a lookalike by Justin Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun.
Skyfall actress Naomie Harris shared a photo of herself with the fake Psy, but later realised the truth.
"It looks as if we've been fooled, that wasn't the real (PSY])!" she tweeted"
