This holiday is known for outdoor grilling. Condiments are essential.

Ketchup is trash. Yellow mustard is trash.

Relish is underrated. Mayo and all flavored aolis are king.

Spicy mustard and honey mustard are winners.

Those sautéed hot dog onions are next level.

Ranch is bullshit. Blue Cheese is proper.

Tobacco sauce is shit. Craft hot sauces are the only acceptable hot sauces.

Mango Habenero sauce is fun and festive

BBQ sauce is tasty as long as it’s not Hunts or Sweet Baby Rays
 
I had been anti condiment for as long as I can remember. Meaning that I never self selected or applied ketchup, mayo or mustard. I always ate them and I guess liked them on a mcds or other fast food burger, but just never put them on myself. Im a little more lax now that im older and have kids (who put condiments on everything)... but i still prefer not to put ketchup or mustard or mayo on anything - mayo in particular really grosses me out.

Other condiments are cool by me.

Hahaha I'm absolutely the same on "self selecting". Will enjoy ketchup and mayo on a burger if it's already on there, but won't add it myself.

Mayo is the funniest one for me because I love the taste of it, but the look of it out of the bottle or packet disgusts me, so I almost never bring myself to add my own. And mayo based "salads" like mac or potato salad I'm 1000% not touching.

Do agree with most of the takes (mayo is king, ketchup is too overpowering, yellow mustard sucks, spicy or honey mustard solid), but disagree with Ranch Tabasco Sauce and Sweet Baby Rays hate. Sure there are better options available but the Walmart staples are fine in a pinch.
