Yeah you can see she thinks she is looking hot but my reaction is, "Jesus, go grab a shower or something." But I'm sure there are people who do think that looks hot. It's a declining niche but no doubt they are out there.

You can tell she is concerned about her appearance but then she smokes cigarettes which is about as sure a guarantee she will age prematurely as there is. She has got herself on the fast track to hag-face.

I guess it is folly to try to reconcile addictive behaviors.

Curious Question: Don't know much about you other than you being from Canada and having an addiction history. I also know you like to ride bikes, play the guitar, sing, and take dental casts of your teeth.

If you could "re-do" certain aspects of your life would you do it?

Holy fuck yes.

I mean, I have some philosophical grounding and understand the importance of acceptance - and I work at that.

But if we're talking fantasy do-over situation - yes - I would change A LOT of things.

So many things.

Well, perhaps I didn't word it correctly. I have done and experienced some terrible things in life. One has to wonder would you be alive or the person you are today if you didn't experience them? I do not personally know the torment of addiction (I have never personally battled with it) but I imagine that experience and the process of recovery gave you a gift that many can not say they have, assuming you didn't kill anyone in the process :)

I know I would take a do-over. I like the person I am and would hate to turn out someone I wasn't somewhat proud of but there are so many things I would like a chance to do differently.

Go to college.

Lose that early on ridiculous idea about having to be married before sex.

Live a healthier life.

SAVE friggin money.

Career choice.

Realize before the age of 32 that if she blows you and then kisses you it's NOT like sucking your own dick.

So many things I would have done differently.

smoked on and off in college, only because it was "cool". now I haven't truly smoked in 2 years. just one once in a while when stressed or wasted. haven;t had a full cig in about 9 months. i grew up with both my folks smoking, so i think it was 2nd nature for me as a teen/ young adult.

That's the way I have to look at it. There have been a lot of things I have been through that may not have been fun at the time but can now be seen as valuable hard-earned experience. They make me stronger and also put me in a position to help some people where many others can't. So that's how I spin it.

I have known lots of addicts who will say flat-out they wouldn't change a thing for those reasons.

Me I would change a ton of things. I don't dwell on regrets and make myself crazy but if I'm honest, yeah, I take some do-overs.
