Because of what they said online about Kirk

That definitely did not happen with the CEO killing

I also think the fact that we all saw that blood just pouring out of his neck made it more emotional

Both for those that backed him
And those that hated him

And that emotional response made people feel they needed to react, online or whatever

I think you're missing some things

Kirk had an insane amount of followers
Not just in person at these events on social media but just in general

I never followed him but just at a quick check:


IG: 10.6 MIL
TikTok: 8.2 MIL
Facecrack: 7.8 MIL
X (Twitter): 5.8 MIL

And the real visceral reaction I think is important

The CEO of United Healthcare
His immediate family and people that knew him surely cared

He had probably 1/1000 the connection to random people Kirk had

It shows, both positive and negative
 
And again, I don't expect everyone to be following this, but there must have been a meeting or a call or something.

There are like 5-10 huge right wing accounts that are literally DEDICATING their current posts to getting those that publicly made fun of the CK assassination fired from their real-life jobs.

I'd say it's close to 60% teachers and medical professionals.

But yeah, it's not something I would do (personally). I feel people should be able to express themselves. And it's a little ironic considering what Kirk died for. So it's hard for me to justify that.

But maybe there's some personal emotions behind this. I don't know or claim to know if they knew Charlie and are kinda doing it to avenge something (revenge I guess?)

Not sure but it's absolute chaos right now and it was nowhere near this for the United CEO.

Correct. Exactly why I take issue with it.

There's very much a movement within the party to do whatever needs to be done. Same exact thing with redrawing the districts. Democrats always took advantage of this. Republicans did it, but not to the degree they could have. That's all changed.

It's all about power now and less about principals. Take a look at all the redrawn districts this year by Republicans. It's insane.

Honestly it's hard to blame them.

Most Republicans in Congress are pussies. Democrats are better at sticking together and better at messaging.
