Williams even landed the lead role in “Deep Rising,” a goofball 1998 action-horror hybrid that starts as a heist film involving the attempted robbery of a luxury ocean liner at sea and becomes much more complicated with the arrival of a giant sea creature. The film is dumb as can be but undeniably entertaining—it has become a bit of a cult favorite—and Williams is clearly having a blast throughout.
