This whole thing sucks.

I do believe in this social media age, extreme talking heads and rage baiters on both sides of the political aisle are extremely dangerous and a societal net negative. Right-leaning folks trying to paint this guy as a sweet dude who just wanted friendly debate are full of shit; he travels around dunking on dumb college kids to build his brand, not to engage in constructive conversation.

But regardless of how I feel about his impact on society, he sure as hell didn't deserve to be fucking violently murdered for exercising his right to free speech. And left-leaning folks celebrating his death are disgusting and hypocritical, as that's the exact shit they complain about when it's done in reverse. Can't stand how everyone only believes in things when it benefits them and their bubble.

I think this is mostly true.

I definitely don't have to agree with someone's political ideology to believe they have a right to live. Even someone with soup for brains should be able to grasp this.

Hence while I feel it's remarkably asinine to say he deserved it.

The same way anyone else on the right or left who engages in public political discussion doesn't deserve to be murdered.

It's really not a hard concept here.

Why isn't there a Democrat doing the same thing Kirk did? You know going to college campuses and debating. You can say all day that it was easy to debate them, point taken. If it's easy, then where is that side pushing political discourse? Perhaps it's because they don't want the discussion to occur.

He pops in here with a calmness like a gentle breeze on a warm summer night. Always positive. Never a harsh word spoken, it’s impossible not to appreciate when he pops in here. First to say “good morning” I’ve always imagined he was probably just finishing up a long evening of partying when he says that. Kato, you’re an unsung hero on GL. When the bullets are flying on here, you are the Cumbaya. I am certain that if we polled our members, you’d be the one most of us want to hear more from. I personally get Kramer like in the pants when you post. Don’t stop being who you are. The guy who is more than a guy.
