So back then I would print paper "wallets" and sometimes misplace the paper with the private key/passphrase on it. I always ended up finding it though.

I still occasionally dream that I find an old paper wallet that has some BTC on it, then I fumble the whole thing on the computer and I can't see the balance.

But yeah I would've never held that long, barring a coma or a misplaced private key.

I got one serious offer for $800. I passed. A slightly cleaner one sold for $2K recently, but it was graded/authenticated. I want to have mine graded but PCGS is in the US so I risk fucking myself over by re-importing my own coin.

I'd probably take $1000 for it as is.

I feel you. As I've mentioned before, I was a huge card collector and Pokémon fan when those cards first came out. Was a major completionst too. Decided I "shouldn't start that collection" and collected hockey cards instead.

Kept all my pulls in protectors. Had I gone Pokémon instead of hockey, crazy to think how much $$$ I'd be sitting on. And I was right there.
